Asking well: context, goal and format
Lesson 2 of 15 ยท Level 1 ยท First steps ยท 5 minutes
The difference between a useless answer and one that saves you an hour is almost always the question. Just remember three things: who you are, what you want to achieve and how you want the result.
- 1
1. Context: who you are and who it's for
Your job, your customer, the situation. The AI doesn't know you: the more context you give, the more tailored the answer.
โI run a shoe shop in Leeds, my customers are mostly families.โ

2. Goal: what you want to achieve
Not "write me some posts", but what you really need and why.
โI want people to know the January sales start and get them into the shop on Saturday.โ

3. Format: how you want the result
How many texts, how long, what tone. That way you don't have to rewrite everything afterwards.
โWrite 3 Instagram posts, at most 3 lines each, friendly tone, with 5 hashtags.โ
- 4
Put them together
Context + goal + format in a single request. You can always add "ask me questions first if something is missing".
โ๏ธ Exercise
